At Made of Us Keepsakes Co., giving free breastmilk and memorial jewelry to bereaved mothers is at the very heart of what we do. Every time a purchase is made, 10% of proceeds are placed in a special fund that covers the supplies and materials needed to create keepsakes for grieving parents — completely free of charge.

These keepsakes are small but powerful reminders of the deep love and bond that continues, even after loss.

💛 Who Is Eligible

Our bereavement program is open to:

  • Parents who have had a D&C procedure

  • Families who have experienced a stillbirth

  • Parents who have had to say goodbye to their little one before one year of age

We see you, we honor you, and we want to help you hold on to something tangible when words simply aren’t enough.

We know — a Gmail account may look a little informal. Please know that we’re still in start-up mode and focusing on funding the work itself right now. As we grow, we’ll be transitioning to a professional inbox, but for now, this keeps our resources going directly toward families who need them most.

📷 What We Need From You

We regretfully must require proof of procedure or loss — not medical records, but simple verification such as:

  • A photo (of an item, announcement, etc.)

  • A link to your social media post where you shared your loss with loved ones

Once we confirm your eligibility, we’ll collaborate on your keepsake design and request the biological materials needed — whether that’s a small clipping of hair, a small container of ash, or 5ml of breastmilk.

You’ll have full access to our entire catalog, so you can choose the piece that feels most meaningful for you.

💰 Cost & Process

There’s no purchase required for bereavement keepsakes. We create them at cost so our funding can reach as many grieving families as possible.

Recipients are contacted on a first-come, first-served basis as funds become available — so please ensure your contact information is accurate.

If you prefer not to wait, you are welcome to purchase your keepsake at full price, knowing that a portion of your order directly funds another family’s gift.
